Visit your favorite Leavenworth restaurants for the LJF Jazz About Town. We are going to light-up Leavenworth with jazz!
6 pm - swing dance at the leavenworth festhalle
Enjoy for free Swing Dance Lessons at 6pm with our award winning Swing Dance instructors, Elaine Buchignani and Stephan Huynh and then buy a ticket and join for our Friday Night Swing Dance! Music provided by the Edmonds-Woodway High School Big Band, led by Mr. Jake Bergevin and the Whitworth University Jazz Ensemble led by Dr. Jared Hall. Food and beverages will be for sale. Plus, the Festhalle allows you easy access to all of Leavenworth.

12 pm - Umami Tuesday on the meadow stage
The party starts on saturday at the Meadow Stage.
UMAMI TUESDAY - Back by popular demand, the Neo-soul sounds of Umami Tuesday will launch our show and your imagination.
1 pm - Imagine jazz on the meadow stage
IMAGINE JAZZ- Led by the talented Rachel Bade-McMurphy, Imagine Jazz will open the window into Free Jazz, a form developed in the 1960’s in reaction to limitations of be-bop and modal jazz. Rachel’s music will take us on a journey into the avant-garde.
2 pm - Duende Libre on the meadow stage
DUENDE LIBRE - Duende Libre is an award-winning jazz trio whose original music combines jazz virtuosity with roots rhythms from Cuba, Brazil, and West Africa into a “strikingly authentic blend.” They represent a euphoric new jazz that honors its historical roots, pushing open the boundaries of genre to invoke a powerful sonic freedom.
3 pm - teach on the meadow stage
TEACH - Seth Garrido’s latest project combines elements of traditional jazz, pop, county and whatever other music genre one might attempts to label. They bring their creative talents to show us that jazz music is all music, without bounds, without labels.
4 pm - the jared hall quartet on the meadow stage
THE JARED HALL QUARTET - Master trumpeter, Jared Hall gathers some of the best musicians locally and nationally to back his joyous, soulful and triumphant playing. Jared’s band is always an audience favorite, with its emphasis in the heart of the hard-bop tradition.
6 pm - young artist showcase in the snowy owl theater
Featuring the Whitworth University Jazz Orchestra. Our evening of jazz at the Snowy Owl Theater kicks off with our Young Artist Showcase. With the intention to inspire young musicians, we present the Whithworth University’s premier jazz ensemble, featuring young soloists aspiring to careers in music.
7 pm - russell malone in the snowy owl theater
Jazz Guitar Legend Russell Malone joins us in the Snowy Owl Theater for an evening of Jazz. Russel will be accompanied unstoppable drive of the Whitworth University Big Band and then joined by Marc Seales on piano, Phil Sparks on bass and Matt Jorgensen on drums, truly one of the finest rhythm section on the west coast.
